Beach pollution is NOT a good thing(obviously)! Definition of Beach Pollution= "human created waste" also known as marine debris. There are many surprising facts about beach pollution.
1) Glass, Plastic Jugs, Styrofoam all take more than one million years to decompose; all glass, plastic jugs and styrofoam ever made is probably still not decomposed.
2) In the Pacific Ocean there is a island known as "Great Pacific Garbage Patch"; this island is completely made of marine debris and litter; this patch is thought to be bigger than the state of Texas or even bigger than the United States!
3) 90% of all floating ocean debris are plastics.
These are just some shocking facts about beach/ocean pollution. Beach pollution has many impacts and effects. For example, many animals that consume or live in pollution and debris may get infected or die. Even endangered species get injured or die. It is sad too that about 94% of people know about beach pollution, but they are not doing anything to prevent it or decrease it.
